Donald Dobkin holds law degrees from both Canada (LL.B., Windsor) and the United States (LL.M., Northwestern) and has done graduate work at Johns Hopkins University. After graduating from Northwestern University Law School with a Masters degree, Mr. Dobkin began his career in Chicago, Illinois, where he was immigration counsel to the American Medical Assn. In 1979,

Mr. Dobkin founded his own law firm in Southfield, Michigan. From 1979 until 2004, Mr. Dobkin was the president of Dobkin & Associates, which became Michigan’s largest independent immigration law firm. Mr. Dobkin’s professional achievements have been recognized by his peers. He is a member of the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys in the United States. Mr. Dobkin has held Martindale’s highest “av” rating for 34 consecutive years having achieved this honor at age 30.
