Founded in 1979 by Donald Dobkin as Dobkin & Associates in Southfield, Michigan, the firm quickly grew to become Michigan’s largest independent immigration law firm.  Mr. Dobkin holds law degrees from both Canada (LL.B., Windsor) and the United States (LL.M., Northwestern) and has done graduate work at Johns Hopkins University.  Mr. Dobkin’s professional achievements have been recognized by his peers.  He is a member of the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys in the United States, having achieved this honor at age 30.  Dobkin also has held Martindale’s highest “AV” or “Preeminent” rating for 34 consecutive years.  He holds Avvo’s highest rating —10.0.  He has been recognized by the Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers and DB magazine named him as one of Metro Detroit’s top lawyers.
